What is Dermaroller?

Dermaroller is a skin care device used to help rejuvenate the skin, treat acne scarring, and reduce signs of aging.

Dermaroller is a different type of beauty tool which is designed for skin needling therapy. It is a hand-held device with multiple needles on a drum, used for the process known as micro-needling or collagen induction therapy. It is a mildly painful process and it takes time to recover.

It renews the skin cells, induces collagen production and the procedure must be performed only by an experienced doctor.

It is suitable for all skin types. It gives you smooth and good-looking skin.

Indications

  • Women/ Men who are aged and have wrinkles.
  • Suffering from the problem of acne and scars, stretch marks.
  • The person with hyper-pigmentation and spot marks.

How it works?

When the dermaroller is rolled over the skin, the small, fine needles on the roller puncture the skin. The holes that the needles create in the skin are tiny and considered to be superficial.

As this is the controlled injury to the skin which leads to superficial bleeding. This triggers the body’s wound healing response, and the following occurs:

  • the skin releases substances that stimulate growth
  • new blood vessels form in the skin
  • the skin starts to make more collagen

Over the next 5 days, the collagen produced by the body is deposited in the area of treated skin. This helps the skin to become firmer and may reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles.
